THERE are no delays by the Health Department to implement the contracts of the medical supplies distribution as claimed by the National Procurement Commission, says department secretary Dr Osborne Liko. Liko said media reports claiming that K40 million worth of medicines rotting in Lae area medical store (Lams) were false. “For the record, Lams does not receive and store the 100 per cent kits containers as these were shipped straight from the procurement contractor to the distribution contractor’s yard or warehouse,” he said. In explaining the delays in the process of awarding the distribution contracts of the 100 per cent kits, Dr Liko said;
