A MEDICAL doctor who allegedly killed his wife from Mendi, Southern Highlands, in May will appear in court on June 25. Mt Hagen District Court Magistrate Leonard Mesmin adjourned the matter to next Friday for possible prosecution after going through the case on Friday at Baisu jail. The doctor and two others who were charged with murder of Imelda Tubi Tiamanda on May 10 in Mendi, had their files completed by police so they could return next Friday for possible prosecution. Police arrested husband Dr Simon Temo, 40, Paul Ken, 27, and Nombe Kasu, 42, all from Mopa village in the Karinz local level government of the Mendi – Munihu electorate, Southern Highlands. Police report stated that Tiamanda was a student at the University of Goroka at that time when Temo picked her up from Goroka and took her back to Mendi, Southern Highlands, on May 8. While they were in Mendi, Temo allegedly had an argument with Tiamanda and attacked her with a hard object fracturing her skull and causing her death.
