Mendi General Hospital is located in the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. Southern Highlands Province has a fair distribution of health services throughout the area as from Hospital, District Hospitals, Health Centre's, Community Health Posts, Sub-Health Centre and still few aid posts in the remotest areas. The facilities are governed by the Department of health and most by the Church Health Agency which serves most remote areas of the province. Mendi Provincial Hospital is the provincial hospital for the province and is the referral facility for Southern Highlands Province. It serves all the five (5) districts with the neighbouring provinces.
