People living in the National Capital District and Central Province will soon access their X – ray and blood test results from urban clinics rather than going to Port Moresby General Hospital to get them.
Clinics in NCD will soon implement the e – health system which is a cost – effective and efficient way of accessing patients’ results and information.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Paki Molumi says due to the influx of patients PMGH serves every day, laboratory test results will be sent to urban clinics so that patients can pick their results from there.
Dr. Molumi says the main referral hospital must operate as a level 8 hospital providing tertiary services rather than primary care services.
The 6 mile clinic is the first clinic in NCD to use the e – system and it is serving over 30 patients per day with their laboratory results. Fm100
