POMGEN Has seen a surge in COVID-19 cases

The Papua New Guinea  Port Moresby General Hospital has seen a surge in COVID- 19 cases, with positivity rates at 50 per cent in the past week. 
Health Minister Jelta Wong confirmed preliminary reports of an impending surge that took place over the festive period. .

He's reiterated that the best defence against COVID- 19 is to practice the Nuipla Pasin and get vaccinated. 
Meanwhile, Prime Minister James Marape also joined his colleague members, Minister Kerenga Kua, Jelta Wong and Governor Allan Bird to receive the COVID- 19 booster and urged everyone to be vaccinated.
