Lae School of Nursing has purchased a new generator due to the continuous power blacks in the city.
Senior tutor Lucas Muka said the nursing school at the heart of the city is one of the pioneer institution in the country.
“But lacks infrastructure to get it to a stage where it was before.
“Due to the continuous power blackouts in Lae City the institutions on many occasions was affected.
“The students mess cannot hold freezer goods for long as they go bad due to power blackouts,” Mr Muka said.
He said the School's Administration with the help from the Morobe Provincial Government funding purchased a generator to generate power for the mess freezer in times of blackouts to alleviate the problems faced.
