The sooner we identify and receive appropriate treatment for gambling addiction, our task would become easier to stop progression of illness and induce new waves of emotions to loved ones.

This would reduce the number of people gambling who become ill, through the promotion of mental health and social well-being as well as providing access to quality care and effective rehabilitation.
The directorate would need to assess the needs on coordinated service delivery, monitor service delivery and evaluate the effectiveness of services.
In order to promote good gambling habits in PNG, prevent and reduce the development of mental health problems and mental disorders among children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.
The impact of gambling disorders on individuals, families and community assure that the rights of people with gambling-related mental disorders are protected.
The directorate would improve and maintain the gamblers mental state of PNGs by providing access to safe and effective forms of professional advises and practices within the healthcare system.
In doing so, we shall improve the access and quality of delivery of gamblers care services to the people of Papua New Guinea.
The strategy to promote awareness in preventing gamblers’ mental disorders is important.
The directorate would certainly endeavour to establish gamblers help desk centres in the 20 provinces of PNG.
