Papua New Guinea is facing increase in the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) . This was confirmed by Anglicare PNG Inc adding that out of five hundred people tested in a month, up to thirty (30) tests positive for HIV/AIDS. Anglicare is focusing its advocacy awareness on those living with the virus to be faithful to medication to suppress the virus so that it is not transmitted further. Mary Kenwai, the Manageress Clinical of Anglicare PNG Inc. says currently their focus is on advocating for those who live with the virus.
She says this is because they are the ones who will spread the virus if they are not honest with themselves.
