TWELVE health workers are now certified family planning providers after undertaking a 12-month training hosted by Marie Stopes Papua New Guinea (PNG) in partnership with the National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NDCPHA). The health workers, who are registered with different clinics across NCD, had received their certificates in family planning at the Marie Stopes head office in Port Moresby on Thursday. Service delivery director for Marie Stopes PNG, Andrew Kirima said that this ceremony strengthened their partnership with NCDPHA and encouraged growth of their service delivery in the country.
“This graduation ceremony marks the achievement of two of the models that Marie Stopes works with, from which we look to attach many donor partners as possible since we are a non-government organisation,” Kirima said. The graduates included health workers from NCDPHA, PNG Family Health Association, Gordon clinic, Tokarara clinic, Morata clinic, 6-Mile clinic, 9-Mile clinic Ulamagi Narazene clinic, Susu Mama and St Theresa’s clinic.
