Dr. Dakulala is new PNG Health Secretary

Doctor Paison Dakulala has been appointed  Acting PNG Health Secretary.

Health Minister Jelta Wong has announced that decision by the National Executive Council last Friday, after the current Health Secretary Pascoe Kase's term expired on Monday, 20th January.

Mr. Kase and the department have been under heavy scrutiny recently, during a public inquiry into the supply and distribution of medicine.

"He is the Deputy Health Secretary at the moment so it's only normal that he gets promoted up.

''We are waiting for the gazzette to be issued, so that we can allow the Acting Secretary to take his place," said Health Minister.
