Disabled get vehicle in PNG
PEOPLE living with disabilities in the Sumgilbar local level government of Sumkar, in Madang, have been given a new vehicle by Sumkar MP Ken Fairweather.
The vehicle cost K100,000and was paid from the health grant of the District Service Improvement Programme (DSIP) funds.
“The vehicle is for pick-ups and drop-offs of disabled people to go to school, hospital and other networking places,” Fairweather said.
He said disabled people on Karkar Island will receive their vehicle and wheelchairs next March. Fairweather urged the Sumkar people to look after themselves.
