THE Papua New Guinea National Doctors’ Association has signed an agreement for a three-year
(2014-16) arrangement regarding salaries and allowances for doctors.
The memorandum of agreement was signed by the Secretary for Personnel Development John Kali, National Doctors’ Association president Dr James Naipao and the Secretary of Health Pascoe Kase.
They expressed their satisfaction at the manner in which the issue raised by doctors was resolved.
Kali said they had held a series of discussions.
“Doctors are service providers and they need to work with the people,” Naipao said.
Kase challenged young doctors to in rural areas in order to enhance their skills.
