LAE MP John Rosso last week allocated K1 million to the Angau Memorial Hospital and K250,000 to the St John Ambulance to support their operations. Rosso said the hospital served many people in the city. “There had been a shortage of funding with their recurrence budget,” he said. “We decided to assist the hospital with K1 million for their operational activities (which) will alleviate a lot of problems.” The assistance to St John is part of K500,000 funding from the Lae City Authority each year.
“LCA supports the running of St Johns in the city for our people,” Rosso said. “It provides a very reliable, very professional ambulance service to citizens in Lae. “(Its service) stretches to Nadzab into the Huon and Nawaeb electorates. “This is the first quarter funding.” Rosso urged the people to look after the ambulance service. “(We) must ensure that the ambulances are protected and the personnel are not hassled.” Next : No Covid-19 Test Required Before Traveling To PNG: Manning Comments are closed.
