31 new Coronavirus cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing PNG total to 760. The cases were reported in four provinces - West New Britain reported 20; East New Britain 8; New Ireland 2 cases and Western Highlands with one case. A statement from the Controller of National Pandemic Response David Manning states that of the 31 new cases, the youngest is a 13-year old male student from West New Britain while the oldest is a 69-year old male from East New Britain province. Five of the eight positive cases reported in East New Britain travelled from West New Britain. Eighteen of them showed no signs of the virus at the time of testing while 13 others experienced fever, headache, muscle ache, shortness of breath, cough, chills, and abdominal pains. 16 provinces including AROB have reported cases.
