About the Program
The Salvation Army Onamuga CHW Training School is an accredited education institution serving the communities of Eastern Highlands and other provinces of Papua New Guinea (PNG) for over 30 years. We offer a 2-year residential, competency-based training curriculum to prepare students for careers as Community Health Workers.

Selection Criteria

• Age Limit: 25 years and below
• Education: Completed Grade 12 (All school certificates will be verified before acceptance)
• Time Out of School: Maximum of 3 years
• Marital Status: Must be single – not married and no children
• Shortlisted Candidates: Will undergo an Entrance Exam
• Further Testing: Top candidates may undergo additional assessments by an independent selection team

Note: School staff will not participate in the selection process.

Minimum Academic Requirements
Grade12 Results must include:

• English: Pass
• Science: Minimum Grade B
• Other Subjects: Minimum Grade C
